SHIPTRON, founded in 1987 as HYDRO-TECH moved to the worlds centre of traditional sailing: Enkhuizen in 1990. From then the former technical service provider started to grow together with the expanding traditional sailing fleet of Holland. Shiptron fulfilled the professional demands of these large sailing ships and gained knowledge we now use for all sailors that take their ship seriously, whether it is used on lifeboats, offshore installations, megayachts or on board a 12 meter yacht that is on an ocean voyage.

Shiptron specialises in communication and navigation equipment for smaller commercial vessels, workboats, lifeboats and ocean-going yachts. We are always looking for products that fit into this professional view of sailing. We are very willing to discuss particular features for special situations.This results in a gamma of quality electronic products that are of practical use.

We can provide you with the knowledge and products that are hard to find in this satellite-communication era. We share our knowledge with shipyards, designers, technicians and retailers.
